If you're looking for something that's not real graphic I have a hard time thinking of anything from recent times. When I was that age the old black and white versions of Dracula, Frankenstein and the Wolfman were enough to freak me out and they don't contain bad language or graphic violence. As for recent movies (within the last 10-15 years) all I can come up with is Jeepers Creepers which does have a few swear words and a little gore but it's more psychological as a horror movie.
How about The Birds by Alfred Hitchcock?
Have a great day!!!

Harry Potter?
It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
Hocus Pocus
The Disney cartoon version of Ichabod Crane is good.
There's one Mickey Mouse/Donald Duck cartoon from many moons ago that I watched as a kid that is Halloween-themed but I can't think of the name but it's several stories on one tape.
All the others that I am aware of are rated R so I don't think they would be very appropriate.
Check out places like Blockbuster or Hastings since they usually have a seasonal section in the rentals area. Also check out the kids' section becasue they sometimes have them mixed in.

I have two boys. When my oldest son was age 11 I wouldn't let him watch anything too graphic. (He's 14 now.) The suggestions of Halloweentown & Hocus Pocus (Disney movies) are really great. I think at age 11 they realize it is "just a movie" but are still impressional enough to be bothered by images of violence that are unfamiliar to them.

That depends on what you deem appropriate for your child. By the time I was 11, I had been watching movies like Exorcist, Evil Dead, Salem's Lot... for 5 years already.

Any of the nightmare on elm streets. I was about that age when I started watching those kind of scary movies.
