If you know the name of both of her parents you may be able to find them in the 1920 or 1930 census (or before). Once you have found them, then you may be able to locate where her birth certificate is held. From there, you might try finding the genealogy lists and post a question asking if anyone knows the history of the family. Often ladies of this age are curious about their ancestors and you may find that her children are the one's asking questions. Some sites that have these family lists/boards are ancestry.com (http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=an&p=localities), genealogy.com (http://genforum.genealogy.com/) and worldconnect from Rootsweb (http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/). All the lists are free to review and post questions on.
