It means when the aeroplane takes off and flies high in the clouds - you're not on the ground anymore, you're getting high !!!

Getting high "meens" smoking enough of a stubsance, usually marajuana or "pot" to be effected by it. Druggies aim to get high because they like the feeling. If you, however, are thinking of doing drugs, I advise you not to. Drugs can mess up your health, social life, and grades, among other things; And, getting high is seriously over rated.

have you ever seen snoop dog on telly, well he is probably the most famous guy to be known for always being high.
that is beacuse he smokes, dope, weed, ganga, skunk, or the proper name cannabis.....
this is an illegal sustance that many people smoke, in order to get a feeling of happiness, it has several properties in that it can increase the flow of blood to the head, which results in a sensation where you feel hightened states of sensation
i would also recommend mixing it with some cake mix or with cookies, eating it cooked also gives a different sesation,
think the swinging sexties and the summer of love, all those people were high

The most common association with that term is to smoke some marijuana. It can refer to other drugs too but only by those who don't really know what they're talking about.

are u serious? getting high means ur using drugs, and u get high. it's like getting drunk when u drink too much alcohol.
