its not a weakness. its all they know. that is what they were taught just like i was taught to be a strong woman and stand up for myself, these woman were taught to keep there mouths shut and stand behind there man and not next to him. I dont think its right, but no one is going to change that.

I think that that statement is a HUGE generalization!
Just as there are weak women in the Arabic/Islamic World that have weak personalities, there are also women of other cultures that are equally as weak. For example, some Western women that stay with a man that will physically abuse them over and over again.
A woman in Islam has the choice to wear the veil and cover her hair or not to. Also, a women who does decide to cover her hair does not mean that they are automatically of a weak personality.
As for polygamy, that is a fact of the Islamic culture where it is allowed. However, in many countries currently it is illegal for the husband to remarry without the previous wife's consent. In this case, if a women agrees to know where her husband is at night as opposed to being deceived....then that is her choice.
If you have ever visited the Middle East then perhaps you would not have the opinion that you have presently!

It's probably not a matter of weakness as it is a matter of culture. In mainstream western culture, no woman would let her husband marry another woman, cover her face or let her husband walk in front of her. But that's our culture. We value different things.
There are always more women in the world than men. Historically speaking and even in some other countries to this day, a woman without a man in her life is helpless. But if one man only marries one woman, that leaves hundreds alone to fend for themselves. So one man would take many wives. (It isn't just the Muslims! Historically, the Hebrews would do it too.)
As for covering their faces and heads...speaking from a practical point of view, the desert environment can do horrible things to the skin and hair in a very short time. Centuries ago, there was no such thing as sunscreen. So to preserve beauty, they'd cover it and it became a cultural thing. And in some cultures, a woman who goes around "showing off", is advertising her body (like a prostitute.)
Walking behind the man probably originates in ancient times as well. Typically, the person who walks in front is the strongest. If they are attacked, he can protect those walking behind him.
These are all my best guesses. I have heard so many different explanations. But I do not think that Muslim women are weak any more than American women (such as myself!) are shameless hussies. Just different, is all.

You are a very ignorant and hateful human being. They are not weak it is their religion and culture. They do not have to live this way they choose to live this way. Do some research and then ask a question. Therefor you can make an informed statement and question. Rather than the ingnorant one you have made.

They are not weak,its a matter of conditioning. Boys and girls dont have playtime.Boys learn islamic laws,girls learn how to serve the men.the punishment for incurring a SLIGHT to the family by the girl is death.

Okay, hold your horses there buddy...it's not that they're weak, it's just their ways. That's like a bad kids looking at your obeying your mom and saying, "why is he so weak? why does he listen to her?" a lot of islamic women take pride in their customs because, one, it is their custom, and two, it is a symbol of their religious beliefs. it does not mean they are weak. you never know what is really happening behind that veil.

Not that I agree with their ways but it seems that they pride themselves in the sacrifices they make. I could never be strong enough to live like that everyday.
