They're going thru a messy divorce. Many people have accused Heather Mills McCartney of being a gold-digger, going after Sir Paul for his money.
It's a very high profile situation. Paul McCartney is one of the wealthiest musicians/celebrities in the world. I'm sure we'll hear more reports in the media before there is some kind of settlement made.
If it was up to Paul he would like it to be a private affair. It looks like Heather will not allow this to happen. Others say her 15 minutes of fame are up.
Paul was in the biggest rock group ever in the 1960's: The Beatles. He is part of one of the best known songwriting teams in musical history Lennon/McCartney.

I think the divorce is getting nasty. Not knowing either of the participants could the wife be trying to get a better monetary settlement by accusing Paul of physical cruelty. The has never been any such accusations against him before (at least not in the media).

What's up with you being so worried about their business? Seriously...I love McCartney's music but his personal life is not my concern...I mean I wouldn't want him poking his nose into my business.
