:Butterflies" is a lovely place to start and is an apt metaphor when you first feel the little one's movements. As the baby gets bigger and your due-date nears it will begin to feel as though you have a little soccer player in there. You will feel elbows and knees sticking out everywhere as your little butterfly has now metamorphosed into a giant eagle!!!
Good luck with the new one!

When you first start feeling the baby move, it does feel like butterflies fluttering inside you. As the baby gets bigger, you will feel the "kicks" and "jabs" they give you. It's an awesome feeling. It's a reminder that you have a little life growing inside you. I loved being pregnant. Enjoy it! Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy, delivery and baby!!

I thought it felt like fizz at first... but look out in a few months!!! Then you feel like you need an exorcism!!
To be a bit nostalgic... There's nothing like it. I miss it now that it's over and I have a happy healthy 10 month old. I really wish that I'd made a conscious effort to remember the last time I felt her move inside before that epidural kicked in.
Congratulations! All the best on your pregnancy!!

Butterflies is a good one, i liked bubbles too!
Then it starts getting stronger, then you can call it turning, kicking, stretching! Its the best!
I am already 37 weeks, and by baby keeps moving so much, I just love it, and so does my suburban, who gets to see it and feel it too. Its a great thing to share.

When they first start moving for me it felt like a little cat pushing its nose against my belly. After the 5-6 month, it started to feel like a kick! If i would lay on my back and put a cup or plate on my belly it would move all over the place! It was a great feeling.

I thought I had gas the first times I felt my baby move, and then I realized it was about that time to feel him move. It's a fluttering feeling at first. Then further along it feels like a little person poking and kicking at you. Sometimes it tickles me. Feels like someone is tickling my insides. I think he does it on purpose. LoL

Well it all depends on your imagination. At first it felt like a little squirming feeling ...like a worm in the bottom of my stomach. Then around 4 months it was little jerks.About 7 months it was like a miniature soccer player down there.8 months now and it feels like a child is in my stomach trying to come out!! Kinda weird, but not scary.

I always thought of it as fluttery at first. Just wait, before long it will feel like someone is kicking you in the ribs. Sometimes it feels the same as when someone elbows you, only its from the inside. Congrats & good luck with your baby!
