Two people sitting down together and enjoying each other's company with a little bit of conversation. That is meaningful.

I've forgotten, i don't think they occur any longer, people are too concerned with celebrities and fashion to have anything meaningful to discuss. I suppose a meaningful conversation would be about something real i.e. prospects in life, goals, achievements, feelings. Like i said, i don't really recall, not sure I've ever had a meaningful conversation, certainly not in retrospect

A meaningful conversation has both parties completley interested, it regards a stimulating topic, makes you think about both view points, and leaves you thinking about it after the conversation is over.

A meaningful conversation doesn't necessarily have to be about anything in particular; I just love to sit and talk about whatever, and laugh or playfully debate.

Well I know that they are listening if they keep eye contact and don't try to cut in.... you can also tell if they cross their legs toward you or lean in when you are talking to them.... i hate it when people get distracted and look around and nod and say "Yeah....., uh huh,.... yeah..." while pretending to listen.
