I have windows 2000 professional on my laptop and every time i try to go to the add/remove program it gives me a message saying object not found line:82, and it won't bring up any programs, just a blank box. What could be wrong and what can i do to fix this?
Here is the exact message i get.......an unexpected error occurred. Object doesn't support this property or method res://sp3res.dll/default.hta Line: 82.

I had the same problem using Windows 2000, but I have not received a message. In my case the problem occured due to a Troyan virus.

Go to Microsoft.com and install the lastest service pack for Windows 2000. The sp3res.dll is a file in the service pack. Hopefully that will resolve the issue.

pass to "initiate" and then "run" style in appwiz.cpl and hit enter. see if that brings it up...i'm attempting to verify no rely if it rather is a record association concern with the shortcut, or if some malware has truthfully denied you get admission to into the administration panel... *xrsn* .

Try a defrag. Go to-Start, all programs, acessories, system tools, disk defrag. Works for me.
