A firearm is a weapon that uses gas caused by an explosion to eject the bullet.
A BB Gun is not a firearm, neither is a slug gun (air gun). That's why you don't need a license to carry one of these.
If your bow's arrows was shot out at high velocity by means of deflagration (gunpower explosion), then it would be a firearm. Otherwise it would just be called a weapon.

no. And a firebow for making fires is not considered one either because it is not a means of arm. A bow is only considered a firearm when it is shooting a flaming projectile, particularly a fire arrow.

no it is not however a MUZZLE LOADER IS considered a firearm but as previously stated by another if it is used in a crime then it would be a lethal weapon
