July 1944: The USS Scorpion pulled into port in Taipei. All the boys said I should 'pack a raincoat' but there wasn't a cloud in the sky so I ignored them. While perusing a local vendor's melon stand, I met a sweet young girl named 'Rose'. She offered to make me holla for the low low price of five dolla.
Let me tell you, about 3 weeks later I holla'd so loud from the burn that our sub became visible to a German U-Boat and 20 young men lost their lives.

Last night, I left my toaster oven on, and went in the other room to eat in front of the TV. About an hour later, I walked back into the kitchen to find it full of smoke, and my toaster oven red hot. That, and the fact that my smoke alarm did not go off, scared the devil outta me.
(I know this is not the burn you mean...but hey...)

About two months ago. About half way up the hill. Had to take a break and get the lactic acid out of the legs.

you should be more careful when you smoke. Don't burn those legs, that would be a strange self hating gesture
