As of the start of the 2006 season the best overall record belongs to the Miami Dolphins with a record of 382-261-4, with a winning percentage of .594

In terms of most wins that honor belongs to the Chicago Bears franchise. Their record is 671-495-42 and a winning percentage of .573. This does include wins for the Decatur Staleys and Chicago Staleys, but that is still considered the Bears franchise, just as the records for the Tennesse Titans include those for the Houston Oilers, they're the same franchise.

Regardless, the best record belongs to the Dolphins.

Packers. Check out www.nfl.com for other team and individual records. You may be surprised to see who holds many records they have posted on this site!
Chicago's stats on another site has the 2 previous team records(not the Actual Bears) added to the Bears overall records which may lead some to believe that is the number for the Bear franchise, when in fact it is the number for all 3 franchises.
