I've always quite liked the idea of propotional representation ( where each party gains the percentage they achieved in votes), it does have the disadvantage of an ever changing government but at least you'd know that your vote could actually count for something. This could, in turn, help combat against the growing apathy amongst the population towards voting, What gives anyone the right to moan about a way a country is run if they don't use their right to vote??! I really don't see any point in having a figure head either, I feel the main purpose of these people, our Prime Minister, is to act as a scapegoat for when the partys policies go belly up and then they turn against them as a means of pretending it was all their fault. If labour thinks they are going to solve the countrys problems by pushing Tony Blair out they're dumber then I thought.

Ideal political structure. Build a giant paper machet Gorilla using the members of Parliament glued within it to give it support. Then put a big platform in the Gorilla's hand and have Prince Charles dancing around on it in his underwear singing "oh what a twit!" while he rubs peanut butter on himself.

An absence of "party" politics would be good. Something along the lines of the Roman Forum, except people would be selected at random to represent their area with a system much like the jury service. Lets call them the jury, they would serve a fixed term, and would have absolute control.

The house of lords/commons would be replaced by specialist advisers who would be selected by our jury and would be hired/fired by a majority decision.

Any fiscal or promissory interference in this process would be a mandatory capital offence

I preferred it when we looked at the government of the United Kingdom and Great Britain and Northern Ireland as a whole. More politicians just means more people on the take.

A dictatorship with me in control. First I would resume the deportation of all of our 'undesirable' people to the land of OZ.

Then I would close our borders and reconquer Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

Destroy the Channel Tunnel and build massive catapults in Kent and throw boulders at France.
