the short answer is "no" it should not affect your television reception.

only if you are inclined to rabbit ears & attempt to use analog (nondigital) service is the remote possibility.

but for most of america is digital as well as the tower being installed. if anything you should receive better reception...

No. It won't hurt your tv reception at all.

It is a good idea to go ahead with the deal, but I would suggest a few things: many people I know of also get free cell phones and service for the life of the agreement, and they also get a yearly payment like a long term lease instead of a one-time payment. I would certainly be asking for both of those things instead of a one-time payment.

The tower wont cause any interferance because cell phone waves are different than all other waves.

No that won't affect your tv. These towers transmit informations at a very high frequency,even much more higher than the frequency range in which your tv plays.I can guarantee you that because i live about 20m from a similar tower and it does not affect me in any way.

no they don't cause interference. but i would have them pay you more. they make mucho money and all they want to give you is $20,000 ummmmm--no. think how much you would charge if you were to sell that piece of land? charge them that. if they don't go for it oh well.
