I wish to operate an eco-friendly (ie-solar & Battery driven) 'train' around a small island - any ideas guys? - or better still, any trains for sale?

Sounds like a fun project to me. Why not start with a golf cart power train and modify it for your train engine. I recharge my batteries on my golf cart with roof mounted solar panels and rarely have to hook it up to a charger. I just used four of the panels made to recharge RV batteries. With a train you could use as many of these as you had room for on all the cars.

Having no idea what a noddy train was I went looking. Came up with this. If you scroll down about half way on the page you will see a small pic. If you click under the pic on e mail to friend you will get a large pic. Really cool. Not for sale but I thought you might enjoy.
