x and y = 1
1+3*1=4
2*1+6*1=8

Ha ha! I cant believe you asked that. Well, the standard answer will be, X=1 & Y=1

then there is Y=0 and X=4

And I cant think of anything else funny to get the 10 points from you :(

wait! thats the same equation multiplied by two! then the number of solution will be infinite!!

2x+6y=8 divide both sides by 2
x+3y=4

these are the same equation. there are infinite solutions.

Both x and y = 1
OR x = 0 and y = 1.33333333333333333333333333333333333
OR x = 4 and y = 0

simple, just COMBINE LIKE-TERMS (x+x, y+y, etc.)
x+3y = 4(2x+6y) = 8
x+3y = 8x+24y = 8
7x + 21y = 8
7(x+3y) = 8
x+3y = 1

x+3y-1 is the answer...i think?

well i dnt know how to spell this but it is going to be (infinite solution) because when you solve 4 y it is the same.
