cucumber, lettuce, peas, and zuchinni (sp?) are all good, just blanch them first

Yes and no. The greens probably won't hurt them. Digestive upsets are a possibility depending on how sensitive the cat is to inappropriate food, but it's not the worst thing you'll ever find in cat food. That said, it has NO PLACE in cat food. It's a) filler - used to beef up protein or whatever levels and bring the production costs down; and b) put there to make it palatable to the humans who buy it. This last cheeses me off. If cats bought their own food, they'd buy mice. They would not be browsing the veggie aisle! I do still feed some commercial cat food and one that I use has peas in it. I think some carrots too. But it's impossible to find a perfect commercial food.....but I wouldn't buy a food that is advertised. Those are always the worst. And since the marketing gimmicks they use annoy me, I'd avoid that food like the plague just on principle. Or principal.

they love cucumber. Put a slice in and they'll eat it to the rind. but you have to feed them fish food also, it has all the nutrients they need, they'll die if you only give them veggies (or mutilate each other)

they will eat lettuce, cabbage, squash, rice crispys . .

floating pond plants also provide them with fresh veggitation . . I have water hycinthia and water lettuce that they nibble on . . .
