if you are taking your meds...keep taking them....but you may need to purchase an external vulvar cream to relieve the itching until the meds clear up the infection all together...

It's really normal for this to happen the medication may have cause another type of bacterial imbalance and now you may have a yeast infection whenever you talk to your doctor make sure you let her know continue to take this medication as prescribed and your doctor will probably just give you something else for the yeast infection I know it sounds crazy and the itching is very annoying but that's just something that happens and you have to deal with it until it heals just stay with the meds and it will go away

Unfortunately, it probably means a yeast infection. When taking antibiotics, they don't just kill the bad bacteria, but some good ones, too. This sets up an imbalance that causes other kinds of growth to overproduce, in this case yeast. Call the doctor and pharmacist to make sure it's ok to take an over-the-counter remedy for a yeast infection. I like monistat. It has several choices to fit your preferences. Good luck. It can be miserable.

It may be an allergic reaction or it could be something else. My daughter had a medication that did the same thing, it was an allergy to the medicine. The only way to know for sure, is to contact your doctor. I would definately not assume it is just "healing".

sometimes meds to cure one thing can cause a yeast infection. I would definatly call your dr. Find out if she wants you to come in or simply suggests you buy an over the counter. It could also be an alergic reaction to the meds

Yeast infections do itch...call your doc and let her know of the change, but it may just be something you have to live with...get some vagisil or something similar to help with that. It's torturous.

Call the doctors office and ask to speak with a nurse. The nurse can tell you if you need a refill or whether you need to make an appointment to see the doctor again.
