there is nothing that can destroy a life faster than marriage.
you have over a 50% chance of destroying your life with marriage.
why are schools not warning children more so they grow up to not make a very bad decision that could destroy their finances and life?

When you were in high school and starting to date would you have listened and believed it.I think not we go through a stage where we have to find out for our selves, and no class is going to change that attitude only time and first hand experience, Think how many of your friends come back after the divorce and say I told you so

Marriage a bad decision?? Marriage destroying life as we know it??? What class are you getting these ideas from? Are you speaking from personal experiences? Married life can be great. Single life can be great. The institution of marriage between a man and a woman hasn't found a firm "class period slot" in our lives. Schools seem to dismiss teaching of abstinence(one form of staying happily single)and have dropped all the "Home-Econ" classes which would have made good bachelors and bachelorettes of us all. Find a mentor, find that one single person who is happy in their single life and watch how they conduct themselves and ask how they enjoy a life of being not married/not raising kids. Good Luck!

Jer..

YOu don't seem to realize that regardless of the poor odds men like lemmings running into the sea will meet a certain girl and she will make him feel a certain way and eventually whammo!.....he;s walking down the isle of matromony (notice that the root in this word is "mony"). Men will get to a certain age and will decide on having a family for no other reason than to pass their little snipit of genetic material into the future...it's our opportunity for immortality in a sense. We want to "leave" something of ourself behind when we die that sort of schit etc...

SO despite the very poor stats...the majority of men will walk the "white mile" and get hitched.

The real trick will be to select a woman that will give you the best chance for maritial bliss. That takes an art.

Check out the following website...it can answer your questions better than I can.
