I`m looking to start a suport group for amputees, and would like to get a web site started for that

Why reinvent the wheel?
There are already a large number of existing groups, forums and web sites for amputee support. Why not just join one?

You'll just be competing with what is already out there and it's unlikely that you would be any better.

well I would suggest just making one with a program such as dreamweaver, or front page express, but you can also just use a site, such as angelfire.com or something along those lines, I just use Dreamweaver and my own html skill....bu learning html and javascript would not be very fast.
