hi there
just thought i would give you some motherly advise
my mother told me about it and it really works
when you are right at your due date or over
take a long brisk walk especially uphill walking
also this happened to me by accident
i was almost due with #2 playing hop-scotch with
my daughter and i guess the hopping brought the labor on
i delivered the next morning
back in the old days women would take a big dose of laxative
to bring on labor....but it is quite painful to be on the john and having contractions at the same time...i know because with my first they gave me an enima when i got to the hospital
i have 3 children since then and never got another one.
just try the walking for a couple or three days...that should do the
trick. good luck with the new baby

I actually got a pre-natal massage. It was about an hour after and my water broke in the produce department of a grocery store. My doctor said it had nothing to do with it, but I disagree. I went two weeks early. Hey, getting a massage is a hell of lot more fun then walking everywhere trying to go into labor. If anything, it's a good excuse to get a massage!

Time. The fear of being induced made me go into labor a few hours before I was scheduled. I was 6 days late.

My doctor tried to dialate me and I took 4 tablesoops of Casroil and walk over a mile. I was in labor for 5 hours. I push for 20 minutes. You can pick up the Casroil (sp?) at any local drug store.

Doctor stripped my membranes in office visit 2 weeks before due date, then one week prior. Went home second time and attempted sex, because that's about all you can do.
My water broke about an hour later. Off to the hospital and had daughter 7 hours 43 minutes after water broke.

My doctor had to try to induce my labor TWICE when I was two weeks past due. My son did not want to come join the rest of us!

Walking. Actually I was told to walk and it would make the cervix open. So I just walked slowly on the treadmill and then 5 minutes later I started having contractions.

I was induced at 38 weeks with both my boys, pitocin and the doctor breaking my water.
