I am curious to find out if 'they' have created anyways yet to 'wash' clothes without a water plug/hook-up in an apartment with no W/D in unit (and busy laundry rooms)? Drying is easy; but washing?? anyone have any tips besides moving? lol.

Thanks to those that have replied; does anyone know any brands/makes that have what you all described - a washer through the kitchen sink? I need a visual. Thanks very much.

When I lived in an apartment years ago I had an apartment washer and dryer. You hooked the washer to the kitchen sink and the dryer did not need a vent.

I worked for small loads not a big unit. If I needed to wash blankets I had to go to a Laundromat

When I was 3 yrs old, I lived in Korea and we washed all our clothes in the sink with handsoap and hung them dry on a clothes-line outside. Very cheap method. I think the amish still do this.

good question and the practical answer is as follows -- buy a nice bottle of french wine (dry if possible) and get invited to your girl friend's home -- tell her you have some laundry and you will spend an easy 2 hrs. with her -- with some wine on the side -- complimentary. I do not think you will be refused -- you sound like a nice person. Good invitation.

They have hook ups for a kitchen sink that you plug your washer into and also drain the washer into your kitchen sink

They have apt. size washers that all you need (and they do provide them when you purchase the washer) is a hose that goes from the washer to your kitchen sick nozzle. all you turn is turn the cold or hot water on, and load your washer up with your clothes.

Hang blankets on the walls to muffle the noise. A padded room might be what someone needs anyway with neighbors that are irrritating said person. The breaking point may be at hand.
