I am 18, and I would like to learn some ways to speak more articulately, act more serious and maturely, and to move in a more fluid, graceful, feminine way. I am tired of walking, sitting, and digging change out of my pockets like a clod. I would also like to learn how to communicate better and come across as poised and intelligent. I am not trying to not "be myself", I would just like to IMPROVE myself. Thank you! =)

Great questions! I think I have some great answers for you:
1) Check out Toastmasters. They're a club that gets together and work on their speaking abilities. This will give you the tools you need to achieve your goals of speaking more articulately and coming across more mature.
2) Take up yoga/pilates - It's a combination of yoga and pilates which together tune you in to your body's core, giving you better coordination and muscle control which translates into moving more gracefully. There's a great video by Denise Austin (and many others, too, I'm sure) if you're not into the whole exercise class environment.
Hope that helps!

there is nothing wrong with improving ourselves. Just make sure that your doing it for yourself.

Learn two or more words a day out of dictionary, or learn something new each day, from new experience or just by researching a new subject.

For grace, just find a style that highlights your own natural beauty.

Have you ever noticed that people who go to the gym, walk differently. Exercising can lead to a natural poise that is yours, by strengthening those muscles that can make any of us slouch, helps our co-ordination and helps us to think clearly all in one.

I work at a college with a lot of theatre and music courses. They offer classes on speech, movement, dance, etc. Seems like something like that would be helpful to you. It also seems that you are addressing two separate areas. For example, I think certain fitness or dance classes would address the physical aspects, but for speaking you would need more in the way of public speaking-type courses.
I applaud your efforts to correct what you feel are weaknesses so that you can be the best "you" possible.

Read books and magazines....take ballet or something that will help balance and/or gracefulness.

Be outgoing and eventually with practice, communication will become natural and free flowing.
