Basketball, just like any sports, is hard to predict. Last year, some non-drafted player like Boris Diaw (a key part of the Joe Johnson trade) were overlooked because they wern't expected to get a good shot at starting but injuries can change the values anytime. Here are some sleepers that you can count on to contribute:
PG Jameer Nelson, Orlando: This former All-American is ready to step up in the role where "Stevie Franchise" used to flourish. The minutes are there for him and the talent (D-Howard and Milicic) should give him good opportunities to flourish (16 PPG, 5.8 APG, 3 RPG, 36 steals in 33 starts last season). He can shoot for good percentage (48 % FG, 80% FT) and can shoot 3's (39 3-Points in 33 starts).
PG Speedy Claxton, Atlanta: He's going to get rusty at the start, but never count out the former Sixth Man of the year candidate if he's going to get his minutes in a young Atlanta team (imagine if his 12.3 points and 4.8 assist jumped).
PG Brandon Roy, Portland: He might be a "future convict" if he doesn't pay attention, but the opportunity is there for this rookie (projected starter Jarret Jack hasn't recover from ankle surgery yet and has flourish in the Vegas league).
SG Randy Foye, Minnesota: Like Roy, Foye is making his mark in the Vegas league (MVP in the league) and can contribute to score immedietly with the presense of KG and Mike James.
SF Danny Granger, Indiana: Expected to start the season on the bench, but don't be surprise if he puts a pre-Indiana Al Harrington-type numbers this season and win the 6th man of the year award.
PF Ryan Gomes, Boston: Al Jefferson time is running out and it's not going to take long until Gomes gets his shot (12.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 51 % shooting after the All-Star break).
Comeback Players:
Stephon Marbury, PG New York: An example would be Chauncey Billups, who was limited under Larry Brown and post so-so numbers. After LB left, Billups became the all-purpose player that Fantasy Basketball owners wanted on their team. The reason I'm saying this is that LB left NY and Marbury could go back to his old days under Isiah Thomas, who treasures Marbury like his own son, with his 20 points, 8 assists kind of season. But beware, Steve Francis and Jamal Crawford could hog up his minute, so it's buyers beware.
F Marvin Williams, Atlanta: The franchise didn't draft him #2 for nothing, as AH left and his spot is his to take, despite having Sheldon Williams this year. He impress at the Rocky Mountain Revue (23.3 points) and should continue that pace (except the numbers) with a deep Atlanta team lead by JJ and Josh Smith.
Injury Report:
Pau Gasol: an injured foot is keeping him out for 4 months, so don't expect him on opening night.
Kwame Brown: He's out three-to-four weeks with a bruised rotator cuff, which mean missing the start of the season.
Kobe Bryant: offseason knee surgery hasn't heal him yet but it's expect to start the season.
Marcus Camby: strained plantar fascia in his left foot; expect to start season.

Ummm.. lemme see.. My opinion on Sleepers QB's: Jon Kitna: Threw for four,000+ yards final season and with Calvin Johnson thrown into the combination appear for his stats to upgrade. Jeff Garcia: Gruden has a knack for buying the quality from veteren, and Garcia has been well by way of camp. Joey Harrington: Kinda of a hazard to draft, however you could wanna choose him up off waviers if he is there, as he appears to be the Falcons starter. RB: Ahman Green: Kinda hazard jogging at the back of the deficient texan O-line, however inexperienced appears to get the begin and Kubiuk will use him Brandon Jacobs: Will lose a few vendors to again-up Ruben Droughns, however He nonetheless appears to be the starter and at 260+ lbs and well athletiscism might enable him to emerge as a well myth runner. Fred Taylor/Warrick Dunn: Both are getting older veterens who've a more youthful participant stealing vendors, however each are nonetheless well, and might be valued at it within the later rounds. WR: Mike Walker: Jaxonville is getting worn out of it is WR they draft being useless, however rookie Walker, has been excewllent in Training camp thus far and appear to be teh #two/slot reciever through the begin of the season Joey Galloway: The getting older speedster rather hasn't misplaced a step and has published two instantly a million,000 backyard season, final season being so much spectacular as a result of particularly useless QB participant, and Garcia appears to support upgrade his numbers. Maurice Stovall: one more Tampa Wideout appear to get the nod as a starter, after an excellent coaching camp thus far. TE: Well when you consider that all of them move later ('cept Gates), ummm... Kellen Winslow appears to be a well TE that you'll choose up relativly overdue. If he can keep healthful that's.... DEF: Oakland: and an excellent yr final season for this type of horrible staff.
