i bought those iron on decals, but they didn't completely stay on. some of the letters are just barely staying on and some are on there pretty good. is there any way to take them off so that i can redo it?

Iron them again, high heat with a cotton cloth over them to avoid scorching. Hold the iron in place to reheat the glue.
Afterward when they are cool if you discover that they haven't stuck. The fabric store has fabric glue. Or stitch them on.

Soak in vinegar depening on quality it may ruin the shirt so try one at a time.
