Assuming that the Democrats take the House in November, is it a lock that Nancy Pelosi will become Speaker? I think that she has the potential to alienate the center and guarantee a GOP resurgence in 2008 that might win them the Congress and the White House again.

Who do the Democrats have that would be a better choice?

I knew you Republicans would have a good time poking fun at this. But if you REALLY love America, and you want this country to be STRONG, and it's almost for certain that the Democrats will win the house next month, I'm REALLY looking for someone who can do the job right and unite the House.

How can you Republicans say that you love America, but say that you WANT the Democrats to put someone into a position of power who you think is incompetant just so it betters your chances next time around. Isn't it better NOT to waste the next two years?

What do you love more: your country, or the idea of being in charge of it?

If the Democrats are serious about trying to bring this country back together they should pick a more centralized Speaker. Pelosi is to much of a polarizing figure. If the Dems are serious about winning the White House in '08 then they must show that they can act in a bipartisan way. Pelosi is in no way bipartisan nor will she ever be.

A better choice would be Joe Lieberman. He has the ability to mend and bring the parties together. Nancy Pelosi will further alienate the center and guarantee a GOP resurgence in 2008. Go Pelosi!! Rah! Rah! Pelosi!

Well if she does get the nod, it's a sure bet that there will not be another democrat in the position for a long time. My prediction is that it will be an absolute disaster on the level of Atomic Embarassment....San Fransicko style!

I was just reading some of her quotes concerning us going to war in Iraq. Kind of funny and sad too. Just another typical politician who voted for the war before she yelled against it. If the president duped them into the war by lieing and they say he is the dumbest president we ever had then what does it say about her intellect? By all means we need Nancy in charge she fits right in with the rest of the clowns.

HAHAHA You're already feeling the pain aren't you. You're right too! The dems are gonna lose all credibility with her. I wish I could give you 2 points for being a wiser DEMOCRAT. But your party is hell-bent on everything and that WILL guarantee our (reps) victory.
