I am a very lucid dreamer, and I can tell you it's fun! I do everything I want to but can't do in real life. Sometimes what I do is think about a specific dream I want to have right before I fall asleep. I'll usually start dreaming about it and promptly realize it's a dream. However, most times it just happens that I know I'm dreaming, so if it doesn't happen to you already, it may never happen.

Yes, but i can't say it is all a good thing. I have sleep narcolepsy so i spend more time dreaming than in other stages of sleep. When your dreaming your mind is just as active as when you are awake, so you never feel rested.

The only thing you have to do, is become aware that you are dreaming, then you become aware in your dream and the dreams become lucid. I wouldn't recomend becoming a proffessional at this. It is better to live in reality. Lucid dreaming can also lead to out of body experiences which are scary.

The only thing the out of body experiences can do, is let you know with out a doubt, that we are more than a physical being and that there is more including evil and good, that influence us. I don't think out of body experiences are from anything good, but do prove that there is something more.

Sleep about an hour more than usual each night. Keep a journal of dreams that you write in IMMEDIATELY after waking, most dreams are remembered only for a fleeting moment. These notations will trigger other memories later when you read them. Practice looking at art and a variety of pictures. Think about things you are interested in just before falling asleep. There is an interesting website where you can read other people's dreams and you can record your own. Here is the link: http://tcup.currentform.com/explore.php

You may want to join TCUP project with your own user name to record some dreams.People can contribute to the site by logging their dreams. This has a double effect: helping to grow the database of dreams that the project can explore and creating a personalized dream log for each user. The explore section of the site is the public face of TCUP. This environment allows you to travel from dream to dream in a non-linear yet interconnected way. You navigate without being made fully aware of what the connections are, and with limited control of the path you take.

Each new dream is based on the last one viewed. Strange relationships can be made, and interesting stories revealed. Images surface and pass by, unable to be viewed for very long. These ephemeral snapshots add to the dreamlike environment and invoke the sort of fleeting memories found in dreams.
