I'm too thin...my bones stick out and whatnot...I'm probably about 30 pounds underweight. Im trying to gain weight but I wont be able to in time for homecoming...so i dont know what to wear! What kind of dress should I wear? Where should I get it?

Where do YOU shop for your homecoming dresses/semi-formal dresses? Which stores?

Someone asked for my measurements...so I'm about 5'7 and 97 pounds...

I'm just wondering...where do YOU guys get your dresses? Even if you aren't this thin, it wouldnt hurt to try and look where all of you shop...

If you are willing or able to invest some $ in good under garments, you could fill out the dress a little better. There are undies that have butt padding (sounds silly but it works) and of course there are padded bras or bras that add some oomph where you need it. You can also but a dress that you like and that suits your body the best possible and then take it to a person who does alterations and have them sew in whatever they think will make you look more filled out. They sewed in some foam boob enhancers to my daughter's dress.

Nordstroms or Macys has tons of cute dresses. How tall are you and how much do you weigh? What size is your bra now? What size are most of your clothes?

To the person who told you to stay home....ignore her and her mean-spirited comments. People like that make me sick. You deserve a homecoming just like every other girl.

-Go to the junior/ girls section of the department store closest to you and look for something that fits and looks age appropiate.

-or a dress shop or even bridal shop where things can altered to fit you.

- You can get a non traditional semi formal dress from Forever 21 in extra small.

GO to www.PromDressShop.com. Check out a dress with a little ruffles or pleating at the top like J539. A ball gown which is fuller at the waist would also be good, check out style P408.

If you click on a dress, it will take you to their search and you can enter these numbers.

Okay! I have never heard anyone say she's "too skinny"! Girl, what you need to do is get a formal gown and THEN have someone tailor it! I usually get all of my formal gowns at David's Bridal. Really cute stuff. I hope things go well.

Try "Petite Sophisticates" they're found in most malls. Might be a little pricey though. I shop there on Tuesdays because their shipments come in on Mondays.

Honey you just need to stay home if it's that serious! I know you want to participate but what have you been wearing to school all this time? If people already know that you're that thin, then what does it matter? I say get a Simplicity Pattern and just make a dress that will tailor to your body. If you can't sew, then find someone who can.
