Can some one suggest me an AMD dualcore
a motherboard and a graphics card to go with it under $400?

what about asus dual core,sata,raid,pciex16. as the board can use amd athlon 64 3800 single core. uses latest ddr high speed memory,sata 3.00,graphics nvidiagforce 7600gt (motherboard asus m2v no on board graphics viak8t890) an a least 1 gig memory. should work out around your price. this set up has power,compatibility,and will take new amd 3 cpus,when they come along. there are lots of ways you could go . Well AMD is wors than intel, but ok, I think this should do it :
-CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (2.01 Ghz)
-Asus K8N (nForce 3 250 MS-6570)
-GV-NX66T128D (6600GT, 128 MB) or
another graphycs like this one
-3Dfuzion 7600GS 256MB PCI-E
