For the most part, yes. It's almost impossible to go back. However, in rare circumstances it's can be done. It's difficult but it happens once in very rare while.

But it is possible not to cross the next line.

Sometimes it's harder than other times.

But with the right amount of persavierance ( you can't go BACK, only forward) you can change the path your heading down.

It takes courage and patience, and things may not be the same, but it's a step in the right direction
