Rather than deleting the songs from iTunes try this. Plug your iPod in and the go to the songs list in the dropdown UNDER YOUR iPOD (Not the iTunes songs list). Then just click on the songs you want to remove so there is no check mark in the box. Then when you update your ipod, those songs will no longer be on it, but if you want those songs again in the future, they will still be there to re-select.

The easiest way to delete songs from the iPod is to set it up to manually manage music, that way you can delete the songs just by pressing delete. In order to do this, connect your iPod to the computer, in iTunes find the name of your nano and then uncheck the box that says sync ipod and check the one that says 'manually manage music'. Then go to your iPod playlists through iTunes and press delete to delete the songs you don't want. You can also right click on them and check the box that says skip songs while shuffling or something like that, so that way they won't turn up.

Go to your iTunes and delete the songs from iTunes and then check all of your songs and then update your nano OR you can go to each song that you do not want to play in a shuffle and right click and then select "skip in shuffle play" or something like that.

Just plug it into the computer and use the software that came with it to edit the tracklisting stored on your Nano. It's pretty easy to do, so don't worry.

My little brother threw my Nano against a wall.

:(

Can I have yours when you're done with it? ;)

Good luck!!
