Here is all the background info I can give you. Some of it might be N/A. I recived a desk clock from a Air Force 0-6. The plaque said "UDAM-THANKS". Being former military I have never heard the term UDAM. He is married to a Japanese woman so if not a military term perhaps an asian or religous refrence? Please help. Google feel short on this one as well as Wikipedia. Thanks.

From Handbook of Korea:

"Chong Siyun studied the Neo-Confucian teachings for three months under the scholar Chong Sihan (UDAM, 1625-1707) of the Southerners faction. His second cousin, and two of his sons, Tot’ae, Tasan’s direct ancestor, and Toje (1675-1729), were taught by UDAM on a regular basis."

Major Korean Philosophical figures:
"Udam Chông Sihan (1625-1707)"

From Feldman Gallery:

"UDAM, a self-listening device"

Weird article!!

From Daily Independent:

"Chief Atsor Nyamor is the district head of Mbaduku, one of the largest clans in Tivland. In this interview with Reporter, Terna Doki, in his palace in Tsar, Vandeikya Local Government, he speaks on the perennial clashes between his people and the neighbouring UDAM in Cross River State and contends that despite years of bickering, they are still friends. "

From Veda Base:

"kṣīra-udam — the ocean of milk; SB 8.4.17-24
tyakta-udam — even after giving up drinking water; SB 10.1.13"

Number of great choices -- I'm with the Korean philosopher myself!! Thanks for the fun search!
