Went to a telephone box to make a phone call instead of using your mobile?

It was actually three days ago, when my car broke down on the way to Inverness. The reason I used a telephone box was because my mobile ran out of battery, while on hold at the A.A. It was really annoying, because I had to walk more than a mile to get to a payphone, luckily they are still around and I think it's important in case of emergencies as mobiles aren't that reliable.

Last Time I Used A Pay Phone In a Phone Box Was 1997 When I Wanted My Dad To Pick Me Up In Town After Having A Day Out One Saturday With Friends That Was The Last Time Before I Had A Mobile Phone Since Then I Have Always Used My Mobile And Now I Don't Have To Phone My Dad To Pick Me Up I Have My Own Car

Never been to a telephone box, But I have used a payphone & the last time was about 1 year ago.

A couple of years ago when I lived in Florida. It was after the hurricane. Cells phones did not work & I did not have a hurricane phone. I took a disinfectant with me to wipe the whole phone off before I touched it as they are nasty, nasty. Most of the time they don't even work because I think people stick things in them to try & steel the money.

I love how England even still has a phone booth where you can sit down. Here in USA all you have is the pay phone & tha't going to be history before long.

The last time I used a payphone was in April, in deepest darkest Dorset where there was no signal on my mobile.
