Is Sweetest Day just for guys?

I've always thought that Sweetest Day was for both just like Valentine's Day, but I've heard it's just for guys.

And for those who haven't heard of Sweetest Day it's mostly celebrated in the Midwest on the 3rd Saturday of every October.

I think for both... Guys tend to spoil the girls alot more though.
