The death rate in South Carolina dropped by 500 people when seatbelt laws were introduced. This is not counting injuries that were prevented. There has never been a case where where someone was trapped in a car and couldn't get out of a wreck that cause them to die exept on television. Gas is non flammable-pour some gasoline in a bucket in toss in a lit match. It will go out. You are in charge of your own life. Why risk it in order to 'look cool' or keep from wrinkling your clothes?

Why take the risk? The police only want you to be protected in case of an accident. The possibility of a ticket is an incentive to buckle-up. I think that its a good law, some people need to be protected from themselves.

No.
If they would make people who ride motorcycles wear helmets, then maybe I would think differently. Also, not wearing a seat belt is not harming another motorist. I don't see how they can regulate personal safety. That's like banning cigarettes because people get lung cancer. Last I checked, cigarettes were still legal.

But I really wish they would crack down on those morons not using child seats.
