I need a QB this week and Brees is on a bye so i was thinkin pickin up Pennington because they play Det which gives up the most passing TD then anyother team. Good trade or no?

No, Brees is by far a better player and he's on a better team.

I say No ... Here is why :

1) - Pennington had a horrible week 5 against Jax. In my league he totaled -3 that week. Is there another stinker up his sleeve? Maybe ...Maybe not but Brees has been solid.
2) - There are good choices on the wire. Have you considered Gradkowski ? He is red hot in Tampa and I started him last week. He has (4) Tds in the last couple weeks.
3) - Pennington has a history of breaking down...Usually happens in week 8 or so.

Good Luck W/ your team

No . Bree's has shown that he is the man at the QB position. pennington still hasnt gone one season without being injured. Pick up a qb in the waiver wire. Hold with bree's he is doing a great job out there

Brees is going to be good after the bye. But Pennington looks good for the weekend. Pennington is so hit or miss though.

why pick up someone off the wiaver wire dont go giving up 20+ points a week in brees for 12 - 15 in pennington. u can find real value in waiver qbs. alex smith david carr jon kitna in some leagues. just think the jets d isnt that great either and kitna is 2nd or 3rd in yards passing and roy william has been huge the past 3 weeks.

You'regoing to give up Brees for PENNINGTON?
I'll be surprised if Pennington finishes the season.
Please tell me you aren't really going to do this...it's insane.
just like drop your crappiest player and pick up a QB. Why don't you have a backup QB anyways?

I'd say go for it. Pennington looks like he has pretty much recovered from the serious injuries that have plagued him the last two years.

the offense is really clicking and they play DET
he'll throw at least 2 TDs for you
