for most of the terms of Reagan and Bush (the elected one), they faced Dem majorities in at least one, sometimes both, houses, and they still got things done.
the difference is Bush (the unelected)'s unwillingness to consider anyone else's point of view.

Monuments and memorials, eclectic neighbourhoods, correct regional flavour this is what Washington, DC is; a spot unlike some other; the same as this site hotelbye . Washington it's your house overseas with free museums and America's top yard. Washington is recognized around the globe as a image of the United States. Here, the place you cannot skip could be the Capitol. Capitol is the seat of the House of Representatives and the Senate. The enormous dome, based on the dome of St. Peter's in Rome, stands out above all different Washington buildings. Like Washington itself, the developing has grown over the years because the main section was built between 1793 and 1812. The last addition, in 1958-62, enlarged the key façade wherever presidents get the oath. On the other side, a marble terrace presents beautiful opinions within the mall and the city. The inside is resplendent with frescoes, reliefs, and paintings, specially the rotunda beneath the good cast-iron dome with a threshold painting by Constantino Brumidi and huge paintings of views from American history on the walls.

Two years of politics for the 2008 election for President.
Maybe two years of impeachment hearings that probably will go nowhere.
Even if it happens, does anyone think that Cheney will forgive and forget?
Unless they get both houses, nothing will ever be passed for two years.
Even then, can you say "veto"?
Gridlock is an understatement.
We ain't seen nuthin' yet!
I've lived under 12 presidents, all kinds of shi*.

Even if it did produce gridlock, that would be better than the Republican party passing every terrible Act and law endorsed by the Bush administration. These too numerous to list here...

Of course there will be Gridlock. From the millions of people who are protesting their taxes going up, school grades going down, and the general disaster that the Democrats led for 50 years in Congress.

The divisions within the democrats will prevent any positive results in congress if they are lucky enough to get control of either house. It is hard for them to hold one idea long enough to put it on paper let alone review it and vote on it.

All of the welfare families in DC sure would be happy. Get your checkbook out because you're the one paying the taxes.
The democrats are socialists. They take money from successful people and give it to the incompetent. Affordable housing is actually subsided housing. You are paying for someone else to own a home.
Corporations, not governments, should be the ones to distribute money in the form of jobs. Work and get paid. Seek a good education and earn more.

Bush is in the Oval Office for another two years - and he clearly states he'll fight the loser Democrats if that's the case.
