Terrible germs. Never chew your nails. Always remember to wash under your fingernails when you wash your hands. Those artificial nails are terrible harborers of fungi. Our hospital is thinking of banning the nursing staff from having them.

Skin. I bite my nails so there's not a lot of skin under them as my nails are short :-)
