Sounds fishy to me. Doesnt this guy have a family or parents? Where are his other friends. Why is he asking you, if youdont know him very well. Don't send him the money. If he really needed it, he wouldnt have waited until you got on messenger to talk to you about it. He would have been desperate enough to find some way - any way- to call you as soon as possible to get that money. Hes lying.

It may sound cruel but I wouldnt give him money because his business should be taking care of the trip hotel dinner and all its not for pleasure you really dont know this man he sounds like a con artist to me and why is he on medication? Let his family and close friends help him out but if he is there on business they will take care of everything because the company can stop the airplane ticket from being used and get him another one and why was this guy walking around Africa with his airplane ticket something is fishy about this story I am a bit skeptical of this

Do not use your money, this could be a scam artist, trying to get between you and your money, if he has a cheque he can cash it at any bank, I know he has that covered as he lost his ID, but that is why you have pin numbers, wait until he sends you the cheque, and make sure it clears your account, If he is in foreign land he has the right to go to the council of your country. they will hep him. If he keeps putting pressure on you and if he is a con artist he will do not send money

First of all, why is your boyfriend "someone I dont really know to well."? If that is the case, and you don't love and care for him, you shouldn't help him.But if you do so, whenever he gets back- don't think you will still be with him. If you are realizing that you do loe him, and want to be with him, a good girlfriend would find a way to assist him, and she would trust that he repay her. But in life you can get screwed, if you don't trust him, or care, or even love, be very careful.

Tis better to err on the side of caution dear girl. If he is there on business then his company should take care of his travel needs. If he is self employed then why didn't he carry American Express ~ Never leave home without it! Better that he call his boss or relatives to help him out here. You shouldn't be the one to tow the line from Africa. Be smart...not broke. I know I'd miss $1280!

If he is willing to send you a check and then you mail the money back, go ahead but if he is new to you, don't put that money out of your pocket. He could be playing you for a fool. In any event if it makes you feel better contact who ever he was going on business with or for. See if they can verify his story? You can't be blamed for wanting to be cautious. Good luck.

This man is a scammer...do not send him any money, and do not allow him to send you anything to cash for him. Chances are it will be a fake check, and once your bank realizes that it's fake, you will be held responsible for the money. Check out this link: romancescams. Yahoo also has a romance scam group on their website. I think you need to check these links out.

that is the biggest scam on the net right now. If you dont believe it wait until his check clears before you take the money out it wont clear because he dosent have any nmoney. I dont think any banks would let you take money out anyway they all know about this scam too.

Did you watch Dr. Phil last week? Either you're making up this story or your so-called boyfriend is. Either you're pulling our legs, or he is.
http://drphil.com/shows/show/760/
Is your name DeeDee?
Dee-Dee responded to an invitation to chat online, and within weeks was in love with a New Yorker depending on her financial assistance to leave Nigeria.
Is your name Annette?
Annette is sure she's being scammed, but says she can't stop loving a man who claims to be strapped for cash and stranded in Africa.
