i went out one winter in black pants and got stains on the cuffs. my mom said they were salt stains...however, i wore a black swimsuit and swam in the atlantic ocean but didnt get stains on my suit what gives?

Road salt has a different chemical formula than sea salt. It is much more corrosive. Also, the dyes used to color your pants and the ones used to color your swimsuit were probably very different, chemically. Natural fibers (cotton, wool, silk) need different dyes than are used on synthetic fibers (Lycra, spandex, polyester).

it dont actually my mom puts a lil in every load it keeps the colors from fading
