II found an article about homosexual behavior among wild animals. This makes the case that homosexuality is not against nature. Do you think that this is an effective presentation?

Oslo gay animal show draws crowds
Curators say a Norwegian exhibition on homosexuality among animals has been well received, despite initial indications of strong opposition.
The Oslo Natural History Museum opened the show last week and says it has been well attended, not least by families.
Organisers reported early criticism of the project, and being told by one opponent they would "burn in hell".
But there has been strong interest in an aspect of animal behaviour the museum says is quite common.
It says homosexuality has been observed among 1,500 species, and that in 500 of those it is well documented.

The exhibition - entitled Against Nature? - includes photographs of one male giraffe mounting another, of apes stimulating others of the same sex, and two aroused male right whales rubbing against each other.
"Homosexuality is a common and widespread phenomenon in the animal world," says an exhibition statement.
"Not only short-lived sexual relationships, but even long-lasting partnerships; partnerships that may last a lifetime."
The museum says it is the first exhibition in the world to touch on a subject that has been taboo in the past.
It says sex between animals - as between humans - is often a matter of enjoyment, rather than procreation, and that this applies to animals of the same sex as well as opposite sexes.
While homosexuality would appear to contradict evolutionary imperatives, scientists involved in the exhibition say it appears to do no harm and may actually help in some circumstances...

This answer is actually for those who have been answering.
First you tell us that two people of the same sex having intercourse isn't "natural".
So, scientists and this museum exhibit prove that this is actually very very very common in 'nature'. Now you turn and make snide comments about us discussing this fact.
Do animals sin?
I guess if you've been committed to the idea that homosexuality is sinful, in the face of the irrefutable evidence about animals engaging in bisexuality and homosexuality, you now have to either let go of the idea that homosexuality is sinful, or develop a theology of sin around animals.
If animals don't sin, and many animals are gay, I guess gays are OK.

Seen it a dozen times. Another article also shows that not only do some animals display homosexual behavior, but some even tend to partner for life.

So?
Animals have little in the way of moral behavior. The pheromes give a mating signal and animals mate. That was good, the males want to mate again. Not an available female? Not an issue, they will hump other males, they will hump rocks, they will hump fence posts--my first wife's dog used to hump my leg, but I think that was more a jealousy response.
The behavior is humping, not homosexuality. Translated to humans we would be including such behaviors as masturbation in the same context.
Homosexuality is an issue of human behavior that goes far beyond an erection and instinctive hip motion for a copulative climax.
To argue your point is to justify rapes and all sorts of behavior wherein hormonal urges are expressed and not suppressed because of laws and social norms.

I saw a two headed pig at the fair , it was natural , but it was still a freak of nature .
Humans have sex with animals , so I guess your saying thats OK to since they are both natural creatures of this earth.
Hey how about a brother and sister having kids , this happens in the wild more than homosexuality.
Hey how about an adult having sex with a female the first time she ovulates , that happens A LOT in nature.
Animals rape other members for sex.
And your point is you want morals to fit your deviancy ?

The difference being that animals don't decide to judge each other based on their sexuality, and humans do to the extreme; violent hate crimes. I don't believe one has anything to do with the other, the human animal has the ability to educate itself and choose not to.

I could have told you there were gay animals. I have had several gay dogs and cats. I don't know why it's like that. It's normal. Don't you just wish everyone thought that?
