My Cd-r drive has stopped fuctioning properly all of a sudden! When I insert a CD into my drive to download a program it does not start automatically. And when i go to the control panel the program i want to install appears in the drive , but when i click to start it ir will not start. This is not just one program but many. It does read CR-ROM , HOWEVER. Just 30 minutes ago it wasfuntioning fine. The error message sys i need to Install WINDOWS INSTALLER. Butt when i go to microsoft site to download it i get a meesage saying: this program alreadt exist. What coul be the problem? pls help!

Buy a new cd writer or if you dont need it urgently ask a neighbourhood computer software engineer
