I had a home test and a doctor urine test. Both very postive in the middle of the day. Period is a little late, and I have had pms symptoms for over a week. Sore busts, moody, emotional, increased sense of smell, and cramps. I don't feel sick and am in happy shock about the doctor's news.

I don't want to tell everyone if he is wrong. What are the chances the two tests are wrong?

I think the chances are pretty slim that both test would be wrong, except for the cramping all the symptoms described could be due to pregnancy.

If you want to wait until your period doesn't show for a couple of months that is your perrogative as well, congratulations and God bless

Blood tests are the best sure fire way to determine pregnancy and will also tell you that things are fine when they are repeated and your HCG levels increase as they should. If you want to truly be cautious about making your big announcement, call your doc and let him know you want a quantitive HCG test...Then you can shout it from the rooftops.

My husband wanted me to wait till we knew for sure but I just couldn't contain it after trying for four and a half years...I blabbed to the first person I saw that morning...

Also, find one person that you can tell in confidence and quietly celebrate it with them until you make the BIG announcement. That way if anything goes wrong, you'll have someone there to support you!

Good luck to you!

Blood is the best way. They need to check your levels. If you are within a certain range it is true. I was excited too when I got pregnant. I took two home test but the blood work is what gave me the final click.

Str8 to the point. It is a very rare chance 2 test are wrong! Especially if the docter gave you one.

Go spread the news...

Girl you pregnant. You don't have to feel sick to be pregnant. If the doctor says that it is positive believe it and tell everyone you know

i mean those symptoms can also mean pregnancy i dont think you should keep it to yourself but if you want to be sure just take another test and maybe do it at a different time during the day

i think what your feeling right now is totally normal. lots of newly pregnant women go through a denial phrase. i think that even though you are excited about it, is so unreal to you. so if the dr. confirmed it i doubt that he/she is wrong. so i think you are ok to tell the whole world. the pregnancy test each confirmed the presence of hcg hormone.
CONGRATULATIONS

First off, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Second, fasle positive results highly unlikely. If you took 2 tests and they were both positive, then, they are positive!

Feel free to spread the news! :)
