Well most college teams/players wear high socks not only for a style but for somewhat protection against grass burn or other small injuries. When i play football i prefer the high ones. Most colleges don't have regulations on that sort of thing.

what a lame, lame question!! duz it really matter?! haha. I would guess that a sexy pair of college football player socks could go 1/2 up the calf, but i dunno! haha, unless it really duz matter, in that case, disregard this!! :P

THE NCAA HAS NO REGULATIONS ON SOCKS. THERE MAY BE SPECIFIC TEAM UNIFORM SPECS, BUT THAT IS UP TO EACH INDIVIDUAL SCHOOL.
