If your teacher said that it is no wonder American educational standards are falling.
The evidence for the Holocaust is not simply the photographs and films taken by the liberating Allied armies in 1945, or the the accounts by eye witnesses who survived the camps, but also from the meticulously kept prisoner records of the German Army itself. Furthermore, there is the evidence of the surviving blueprints and architectural diagrams of the German companies involved in building the concentration camps, and supplying equipment used for disposing of bodies, etc..
I would say that your teacher is either anti Jewish (I'm not Jewish, so have no axe to grind in answering this question), a person whose knowledge of matters outside his subject is scant, or he was pulling your leg to see what your reaction might be. Or he's an admirer of President Amadinajad of Iran!
Go and read a simple history of Hitler's 'Final Solution' - you might learn something!

Hey, Joey, you've got to be careful with people. Your teacher might just be a neo-nazi and might be luring you into his "club". Read your history books. If you ever go to Germany, make sure you visit, at least, one of the museums dedicated to show the world what the Holocaust was all about. If mankind did not learn a lesson from the horrors of World War II, how can World War III be avoided? I am 100% sure you can find lots of info in the www.

The Holocaust is not real. The Holocaust is a dramatized title. What actually happened was Hitler had his henchmen systematically organize, isolate, and murder over 11 million Jewish people because he was antisemitic.
