You're going to smell every little thing now that you're pregnant. I used to get so sick because of it. Don't worry about not showing. I didn't start showing until I was almost 6 months pregnant. Then I just ballooned up. As long as you're healthy, you have nothing to worry about.

I am 17 weeks, and I still get naseous over smells too.
I also have major food aversions and still vomit occasionally (1 a week maybe). I am not showing much either, just look really bloated. I was worried I am not eating enough, because my belly is small still. But I searched for pictures of other people at 17 weeks and they all look pretty much like me.
You definetely are fine, especially at 15 weeks, you are barely past the first trimester. Give it some time and you will see. Even I am getting better.

Oh yeah...I'm 14 1/2 weeks and I can't stand walking by the garbage can at home, the fridge, my husband after he comes home from work and anything that we cook...it's even worse when we go out somewhere. I went to the doc today and could smell the potpourri in his office three doors down!
I'm also a bit on the heavy side and I'm just now starting to show...If this is your first pregnancy, don't worry...a lot of women don't "pop" till their fifth or sixth month...you'll be showing soon enough! I'm still trying to figure out how I've lost almost 20 pounds and my pants don't fit...lol
Happy and Healthy nine months to you!

Yeah, I know how that is! I was like that for a while. Every smell made me sick...even when my husband cooked I had to go into the bedroom and tell him to open the windows so the smell would go away (even though I'm sure it would have smelt good if I wasn't pregnant). Also, I was a little overweight before I got pregnant and I didn't start to really show till 5 1/2- 6 months...so you still have a while (even if you weren't a little overweight you wouldn't show much yet anyways). Good luck and congrats! :)

YES yes yes. All your senses increase in awareness. This is a protection built in for the safety of the mother and the child. Certain foods may not be good for you when pregnant and they can repulse you when you smell them. Anything that smells like a chemical, cig smoke, any smoke, greesy foods, powerful floral scents like perfumes (some flowers or plants are poisons), oil, fertilizers etc. Your body determines whether this smell is associated with something you should not be around and then makes you queesy to run away from it. This is only for your safety even though you know perfume is not harmful the body associates it with something that can be toxic.
Just be careful what you are around. Stay in places that nuture you pregnancy and stay away from places where the smells can alarm you to something not so good. Remember, anything you smell goes into your lungs and into your blood stream and on to your unborn child. Stay as pure as you can and you will have a healthy baby. Listen to the clues your body give you.

With my first baby, I didn't show until I was 8 months pregnant, and smells made me vomit for the fully pregnancy. I was even throwing up on the way to the hospital to have him. Now i'm pregnant with my 3rd, and I have been showing since I was 8 weeks along, and I haven't had the queeziness since the first trimester. I guess every pregnancy is different!

That's how I knew I was pregnant. The smell of fried food made me sick! I was that way my whole pregnancy. I used to drive 2 miles out of the way not to drive by a Long John Silvers! It sucked. You'll start showing, don't worry. I was heavy also but once I started it went crazy! Good luck.

Women experience different things for each pregnancy,me I couldn't smell popcorn, it made me ill for all my pregancies and for the whole pregancy.
The reason you may look on the heavy side as you put it may be because you are carrying your child more in the back than the front I carried all my boys this way and only my behind grew for the first 5 months, along with my breasts. Congratulations.

I was sensitive to some smells the whole time, I think. The ones that bothered me most were if I smelled cigarette smoke, my bf's cologne, and the gum and chapstick I used all the time before I was pregnant. Other than that, I was ok.
