I grew up listening to Jack Buck on KMOX AM out of St. Louis. The way he called the game, it's like I was there. I sure do miss that voice.

Radio broadcasting has a charm television can't come close to. On TV you have to let the camera be your eyes. A good broadcaster puts you in your favorite seat at the stadium...
Scully is great but he doesn't do the entire game anymore. His voice and Jack Buck's have always been synonymous with the World Series for me. I love the old recordings of Red Barber and Phil Rizzuto.
Jon Miller is fantastic with the Giants and the Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN. As a Red Sox fan, I love Joe Castiglione.
Joe Morgan and Harold Reynolds are awesome for kids to watch because they break down the fundamentals.
Sooner or later Cal Ripken or Billy Ripken will be doing the same. Check out their Saturday morning program on XM radio channel 175.

You would have to add Mel Allen to your list. The great voice of the Yankees painted a picture on the radio. Vin Scully is great as well.

I would have to go with Vin Scully. He knows baseball better than any baseball player turned broadcaster.
