messi certainly. rooney is overrated. messi is young , can dribble , can shoot and pass the ball very well. messi is going to the future RONALDINHO!

I'll certainly prefer Lionel Messi because he has more skills than Wayne Rooney. Wayne Rooney gets a lot of yellow and red cards for either his team(Manchester United) or his Country(England) because he is so silly, bossy and quite rude.

the top 2 dont know what theyre talking about, they say rooney is under-rated? he is the best english talent for like yeaaaaaars bobby charlton or sumthin rooney is quuality, just going through abit of a bad patch but hes improving and maturing, and the answerer at the top says he is too rough? Players need to rough rather than play boys like all the argentinian/spanish/brazilian players
