People just yawn anyhow in the bus as if they don't care about who is seating beside them.

People who ride the bus are strange. I should know since I have been riding bus for my whole life. There was this woman who fell asleep next to me and she used one of my shoulders as her pillow. I shrugged her off and she realized what she did and try to sleep sitting straight, but it turned out impossible.That was when I lived in San Francisco. Now that I live in Daly city, it got even stranger for the riders of the San Mateo County transit. I ran into someone who used to take the 7:46 a.m. bus (the bus run on limited schedule) in this county and he asked me where have I been. He haven't seen me on the bus lately. He asked me personal questions when we are just fellow passengers & he doesn't even know my name. Bizarre. So, just let them yawn. Most of the people you encountered on the bus are weird.

Why is that important to you, when it's THEIR yawn? Manners, politeness are just silly practices that we're taught. Perhaps they don't care what anyone thinks. That person probably didn't even know that anyone else would be affected by that. Many people mind their own business for a reason.

Some people cover their mouth while yawning as they are hygiene concious. But many do not because they are not aware of the effects on yawning on others.

The purpose of a yawn is to bring more oxygen into the brain so technically I suppose if you cover your mouth you're defeating the object!

It appears that they are just being rude. But some people don't know that it is polite to do so. They may not have gotten the memo on manners.

For the same reason that many sneeze and dont cover their mouth or blow into a tissue then open it and look at it - they are digusting filthy pigs with no regard for others !!!!!!!
