I have toyota camry 6 cylinders model 1990. It is little rusted. I thought I should apply some paint on rusted area. is it a good idea and where can I find the color code of the vehicle so that i can buy paint of exact match?

The VIN number...it is like the cars ID card...It says when it was made..the type of engine..car color and allot more...usually you can find this on your engine...if you open ur driver door check on the outside rim..or look on the rite bottom side of your windshield from the out side..it should look like a little bar code...it has a quite bit of numbers but you wont have to deal with that..as long as there readable and the auto body tech will do the rest..hope this helped :)

Go to a good auto parts store. They can check your VIN for color code. They might also have a color scanner to read the color right from your car. That might be useful if your car has faded from the sun.

Your paint code is on the inside of your glove compartment. There is a sticker with a bunch of codes on it. Write them all down. One of them is the paint code. There also might be a sticker on the inside of the truck lid.

some of the color codes are on the door sticker and some are on the glove box lid in side

Go to a Body Shop they will mix up a little bottle of paint for you.
