They were Snorks, not Snorkels. The Doozers lived with the Fraggles- they did all the construction. The Snorks lived under the sea- down current from Sponge Bob.

There was a cartoon called the Snorks. It was about a bunch of semi-smurf looking creatures with big pointy snorkels on the top of their heads. It was suppose to be in the ocean.

They were actually called "The Snorks" and it was a cartoon, based off of a Belgian comic book. Hanna-Barbera picked it up as a cartoon in 1984 to air in the US on Saturday mornings.

The Snorks were little underwater creatures that had snorkels on their heads...hence the name. They lived in sponges and anemones and such. It was really cute and like someone else said it came on after the smurfs. I used to watch both and loved them.
